Husband is child abuser: Ex-wife

A day after a scientist in the US came to the city and addressed a press conference at which he accused his exwife, a software engineer, of abducting his six-yearold son, the lady surfaced on Tuesday and alleged that her ex-husband is a child abuser.

V. Ravichandra, last saw his son Aditya two years ago. The couple divorced in the US in 2005 and got equal custody of the child. Ravichandra claimed that his former wife, Vijayashree, violated the court order and did not allow him to see the child. He claimed that he had filed a parental child abduction case. Vijayashree on Tuesday told the police that her husband is a "sadist".

"He used to abuse the child sexually," she claimed. Vijayashree alleged that her husband, who "has money", bought his way out of trouble in the US and charged her with kidnapping their son. "I have lost faith in system. I am perfectly normal, not mentally ill as he alleges.," she said Aditya said he didn't want to go with his father. "I'll not go. I am scared of him," the boy said.

Ravichandra and a group espousing shared parenting demanded that Vijayashree be arrested for abducting the child, but the police said there was no ground to detain her. "We have not received any complaint," ACP Krishnappa said.
